Neck Tightening in Nags Head

Neck Tightening: Your Options at BeachGlo Aesthetics

For most people, the neck is merely an extension of the face—something we pay little mind to until signs of aging become impossible to ignore. Because the neck often shows the first signs of aging through laxity and wrinkles, it can create a sense of dissatisfaction, making you look older than you feel.

At BeachGlo Aesthetics, we offer a strategic approach to realign your outward appearance with the inner you. Using advanced aesthetic technologies for neck tightening in Nags Head, our team can help bring your natural vibrancy and vitality back to the surface.

CoolPeel

The Tetra CO2 CoolPeel is one of the gentlest ablative lasers available for neck tightening in Nags Head. At BeachGlo Aesthetics, we prefer CoolPeel because it addresses a variety of skin concerns commonly treated with more intense, heat-based lasers, but with maximum comfort and minimal downtime.

How It Works

CoolPeel is an advanced CO2 laser that precisely removes the skin’s uppermost layers using carbon dioxide-generated beams of infrared light. Water in these targeted cells transforms the light energy into heat, vaporizing dull, dry layers to reveal the healthy skin underneath. This minimizes unnecessary thermal damage to the surrounding tissue.

By activating the body’s natural healing process, this treatment stimulates the production of collagen and elastin—proteins that provide skin with strength and elasticity. The result is firmer, smoother skin on the face, neck, chest, and hands.

Most clients describe the CoolPeel sensation as a mild tingling or light “rubber band snaps.” For your comfort, we offer topical numbing solutions applied before beginning treatment.

What to Expect After CoolPeel

Immediately following your appointment, your skin may look flushed or swollen and feel warm to the touch, similar to a mild sunburn. Over the next few days, the skin develops a rough, “sandpaper” texture. Mild peeling typically begins on days 3 to 5, and should subside within 1 week post-treatment.

Do not pick at flaking skin, as this increases the risk of permanent scarring or hyperpigmentation. Instead, use a gentle moisturizer to keep the area hydrated, and allow the skin to slough off naturally.

While initial results include a smoother, more even skin tone, greater improvements, such as elasticity and wrinkle reduction, develop over the next 3 to 6 months as collagen and elastin production continue. These results can last up to 2 years with proper maintenance.

Who Is the Ideal Candidate for CoolPeel?

At BeachGlo Aesthetics, we recommend CoolPeel neck tightening in Nags Head for clients with mild-to-moderate skin laxity, crepey skin, or sun damage on their neck or chest. These patients aren’t seeking a surgical transformation but a natural improvement in wrinkles and fine lines.

Client comfort and safety are our priority. We do not recommend CoolPeel to patients with the following conditions:

  • Currently pregnant or actively breastfeeding
  • History of keloids or hypertrophic scarring
  • Active infections or open wounds in the treatment area

We generally do not recommend CoolPeel for clients with medium-to-deep skin tones due to a higher risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH). For these clients, we offer Exion RF Microneedling as a safer, highly effective alternative.

Exion RF Microneedling

Exion RF microneedling combines traditional microneedling techniques with targeted radiofrequency (RF) waves to provide neck tightening in Nags Head beyond the reach of standard microneedling. At BeachGlo Aesthetics, we prefer this approach for clients with medium-to-dark skin tones, as it safely and effectively addresses skin laxity and other cosmetic concerns with minimal risk of hyperpigmentation.

How It Works

During your appointment, your provider “stamps” the device’s insulated microneedles into the skin. This technique creates microscopic channels in the tissue that activate the body’s healing response, stimulating collagen and elastin production to remodel the skin from within. Exion boasts single-pass technology, minimizing unnecessary trauma to the skin for a faster recovery time.

While these microneedles penetrate only 1 to 2mm into the skin, RF energy extends treatment up to 8mm. By using shorter needles designed to stay above the skin’s 4mm pain threshold, we can stimulate collagen and elastin with minimal discomfort.

This Exion device includes integrated cooling technology to maintain a comfortable skin temperature throughout your appointment. However, because microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment, some clients may experience mild discomfort. To promote a more comfortable experience, we offer topical numbing creams and Pro-Nox (laughing gas).

What to Expect After Exion RF Microneedling

Similarly to CoolPeel, skin may appear flushed or feel hot to the touch for the first 24 hours after neck tightening in Nags Head. Additionally, you may notice tiny “grid” marks on the treatment areas where the needles penetrated the skin.

The skin develops a slight “sandpaper” texture on days 2 to 3, with little noticeable peeling. By day 4, most clients show no visible signs of treatment and can resume their regular makeup and skincare routines.

Over the next 3 to 6 months, skin texture, tone, and tightness improve, yielding a visibly tighter, smoother neck with fewer fine lines and wrinkles. These results can last up to 1 year with proper skincare.

Who is the Ideal Candidate for Exion RF Microneedling

We recommend Exion RF microneedling for neck tightening in Nags Head to clients with moderate skin laxity or jowls on their neck or jawline. Additionally, this treatment is safe for patients with deeper skin tones and is our preferred alternative for patients ineligible for CoolPeel.

At BeachGlo Aesthetics, we value client safety and comfort. As such, we do not recommend Exion RF Microneedling to patients with the following conditions:

  • Currently pregnant or actively breastfeeding
  • Active infections or open wounds in the treatment area
  • Electronic or metal implants near the treatment area
  • Certain autoimmune conditions
  • Epilepsy

Optimize Results With Emface

For clients seeking deeper skin rejuvenation and more dramatic neck tightening, we recommend pairing Emface with CoolPeel or Exion RF microneedling. For deep wrinkles and jowls, we recommend using this treatment as a foundation; it provides the structural integrity necessary to achieve the best possible outcomes.

While CoolPeel and RF microneedling focus solely on the skin, Emface addresses the internal structure of the face. This nonsurgical facelift combines targeted radiofrequency and HIFES (high-intensity facial electrical stimulation) to tighten and tone the underlying facial muscles.

How It Works

HIFES induces deep, involuntary contractions that increase muscle volume and strength to lift the facial features. Simultaneously, RF energy stimulates collagen and elastin production to firm the skin over this restructured foundation.

While this device features multiple applicators for the cheeks and temples, its submental applicator directly targets the muscles of the chin, jawline, and neck. This can define the jaw, minimize the appearance of jowls, and tighten lax muscles at the top of the neck. By lifting and toning these foundational layers, Emface creates a more defined, less wrinkled appearance for the neck and throat.

Listen as Ben Kershner, CRNA, MS, explains the science behind Emface and why he recommends pairing this treatment with our other skin-focused strategies.
