The Wrinkle Relaxers Process
Step 1
If you see wrinkles and creases appear as you move and want to treat those areas of your face with wrinkle relaxers in Nags Head, set up a consultation appointment at BeachGlo. We can walk you through how the process works, examine what you want to have treated, and answer any and all questions you may have.
Step 2
Because injections like wrinkle relaxers are quick procedures, it’s usually possible for us to do injections and consultations on the same day. Once we’ve confirmed that one of our injections will suit your goals, we prep your treatment area and map out the placement of your injections. Once you are done, you can go on about your day.
Step 3
During your appointment for wrinkle relaxers in Nags Head, we will go over aftercare instructions with you. You may have some minor redness or soreness after the procedure, which will go away within a day or so. You will start to see your full results about 7 to 10 days after your injections.
Wrinkle Relaxer FAQs
Wrinkle relaxers are drugs made from botulinum toxin and administered in small doses to block chemical signals partially to stop targeted muscles from moving. By preventing contraction in specific muscles, wrinkle relaxers help smooth out fine lines and wrinkles. While Botox was the first to be invented, newer options are used for similar purposes. Each is synthesized slightly differently and behaves in slightly different ways. All are classified as wrinkle relaxers.
After an injectable treatment, you can expect some redness, tenderness, or swelling in the treatment area, but this should subside within a day. We make sure that your treatment involves exactly the amount of wrinkle relaxer you are comfortable with using. After your treatment, you will notice less wrinkling when you make facial expressions. Wrinkle relaxers are not additive treatments like dermal fillers, so your face shape is unchanged.
A lip flip is an alternative to lip filler. Instead of filling the lips, we inject small amounts of wrinkle relaxer in to specific points around your lips to “flip” them slightly outwards. Some people prefer a lip flip to filler because it doesn’t last as long as filler and therefore has no need for touch-up or a dissolving and refilling treatment.
